Background & Brief
The Youth Justice Agency was launched as an Executive Agency, in April 2003, replacing the former Juvenile Justice Board. The Agency delivers its principle aim of protecting the public by preventing offending by children through the provision of community based services, youth conferencing, and secure custody. With the prevalence of the web amongst young people of all types, the Youth Justice Agency website represents an important tool in communicating with young people, as well as all involved with youth justice.
