GAA case studyThere are over 900 GAA Vhi Cúl Camps run throughout Ireland, England, Europe, USA and Canada in the months of June - August. Over 80,000 children aged between 7 - 13 years participate in the camps which offer children the opportunity to learn skills, participate in Gaelic Games and have fun!

With over 40 camp co-ordinators, 900 camp supervisors and overall provincial management, the GAA commissioned Tibus to deliver a user friendly website that would reflect the brand of the Cúl Camps, provide online booking and facilitate streamlining the administration process.

 

 

Services

  • Design and development of the Cul Camps interface, incorporating strong branding established by the GAA and reflecting the target audience.
  • Development of camps management system enabling GAA administration to offer e-commerce sign-up to thousands of camps.
  • The e-commerce system is fully integrated with Realex payment engine and provides comprehensive financial reporting to ensure the GAA can manage the distribution of funds to various counties.
  • A login area for county co-ordinators allowing them to download attendee lists for each camp. There is also the ability to input records that have been completed by parents on the offline form, ensuring that camp lists reflect all attendees.
  • An area promoting games and downloadable resources for kids.
  • Full content management integration with HandsOn and hosting at the Tibus data centre

Results

  • The GAA have exceeded their initial forecast for the overall percentage of online bookings in year 1 with the website already delivering 15% of total bookings
  • The website delivered offers significant improvements in the administration and reporting on Cul Camps
  • This platform provides significant growth potential for future years, ensuring that the GAA can maximise the potential of online sales
