Continuing to Drive the Digital Strategy for NI Motor Sales

With the continuing development of UTV Drive, Tibus is further developing its reputation as the leading local digital agency for Northern Ireland motor retailers and consolidators.

UTV Drive is motor sales website for Northern Ireland customers, selling everything from used cars and motorcycles, through to boats, caravans and farm machinery. The UTV Drive Team gave Tibus a brief to develop an intuitive online portal that would provide both buyers and sellers with all the information and tools at their disposal to easily browse, search, choose, upload and promote motor vehicles. The Content Management System developed by Tibus also had to make it easy for the Drive Team to administer the site and change the vehicle makes, models, search criteria and view user account details.

The site features over 7,500 used cars and motor vehicles, making it full of choice and highly competitive with longer and more established brands in the Northern Ireland used car and motor vehicle, online space. Since the site’s launch in Autumn 2009 the rate of growth in volume of motors for sale has been superb, and strong growth is set to continue in 2010.

Visitors to can take advantage of creating their own account and register with UTV Drive, making it easier to add vehicles in the future if they are a seller, and for buyers, though a login they can create specific searches based on their vehicle preferences and register to receive RSS feeds and create a wish list.  

As well as these features to encourage a more intuitive user experience the website features a range of tools to help sellers and buyers including a valuation calculator, links to insurance websites and resources to find a car loan online. Vistors can also share cars they like with their friends by automatically linking them to their social media accounts, such as facebook and twitter.

The combination of intuitive and personal website functionality and useful personal tools encourages customer loyalty, improves the user journey and helps the Drive Team to deliver targeted marketing communications based on an individual’s preferences and account history, either as a buyer or a seller.

Built using the Tibus HandsOn Content Management System, the Drive Team can easily administer website content including vehicle categories, makes and models as well as the search options for the customer. Tibus has also used XML technology integration to allow dealers to publish their catalogue on UTV Drive automatically, drastically reducing admin time for the dealer and in turn providing more choice and accurate product details for the buyer.

This year, the Circuit of Ireland Rally is sponsored by UTV Drive. The association is an indication of the status of UTV Drive in such a short space of time. It also reinforces the commitment of the company to the local motoring community.
