New resource www.why.ie launched after .ie domains reach the 150,000 milestone
This month the IE Domain Registry (IEDR) announced that the number of .ie domain names in Ireland had surpassed the 150,000 mark. To celebrate this achievement IEDR unveiled their new online resource www.why.ie.
The site has been launched to promote the .ie domain, which last year was ranked the safest domain address in Europe by internet security specialists McAfee.
While the website is centred on providing information for those interested in registering a .ie domain, particularly SMEs, it also acts as a central information source for registrars. In addition the resource contains tips on subjects such as search engine optimisation, web design, e-commerce and online security and features a comprehensive FAQ's section.
The site was created using the Joomla Content Management System which enables the IEDR team to effortlessly adapt and enhance the site's content.
